Hi all, first time posting on here for help as im raking my brains as the best option to use. The roofing shop just sold me the stuff and tried to look up some info on YouTube with no luck so im at my wits end. It's my first roofing project and iv probably taken too much on.. but basically I need help which is the best way to do the eaves.. carry over tray (which gets in the way of first eaves batton and just wants to push it up) it's possible to screw batton on top and push it down but it makes the felt tray pull up and distorts the gutter end if that makes sence, so would it be ok to strip the plastic tray off and use eaves felt ?

OP,
Nail the tray to the rafters after setting it to just peep over the gutter.
The felt goes on top of the tray.
On a new roof there's no need for a strip of eaves felt.
A batten, as above, will work to prevent sag but often an angle fillet is used behind the fascia.
Your first tile batten is set to allow the short eaves tile to just cover the tray over the gutter.
The second batten is set to allow the first full tile to fully cover the eaves tile.
