My whirlpool dishwasher often starts, goes through a sensing cycle, shows 78 minutes of cycle time remaining, then just churns away in the "heating water" cycle and stays on 78 minutes. I've let it run up to 30 minutes at that point.
If I cancel the cycle and restart, it often detects a shorter cycle time (like 64 minutes) and then runs fine.
Any ideas?
