steam shower cabin

can anyone help. on my steam shower cabin we had to take the hoses off and now can not remember how to put back.

1 hot hose
1 cold hose
1 hose for steam

the valve has 3 connections two together on a brass valve going into the large mixer and on on the other side of the mixer. have tried all combinations and still will not work. we only end up with all cold or all hot.

Might be a case of if you have connected something incorrectly it has caused something to fail inside. especially if you put water where only steam should go
