My 1930s-built flat has steel gaspipes running under the concrete flooring & on the surface of my kitchen wall. Are these obsolete? My cooker & gas fire are still supplied by these pipes & the cooker fittings look a bit rusty.

Some years ago the meter was moved from the kitchen & I now have a lot of pipes going nowhere.

get a corgy to remove or re-route any that are not used.

we still use steel on most jobs, the age of yours is why

If there are no leaks (have an Corgi to do a pressure test if you are worried) then they are not a problem.
However if they are bothering you, have them all renewed. :D
