In my hall I have three on/off rocker switches for the lights which are all recessed down lights. One switch at each end and one in middle of hall. I would like the option to use a dimmer for the lights.
I have seen some led lights which dim based on the amount of times the switch is turned on and off within a few seconds.
Would a 3 step led dimmer light like that be the easiest answer ?
Could I just replace the ceiling down lights and keep all existing on/off switches and use the on/off dimmer capability from whatever switch I was using ?
Do these type of lights always start at 100% on first on or is it possible they can start in a dimmed output ? I rarely need 100% output as there are too many spots and the hall is too bright. Also for night time it's nice to keep things dim.
