I have had a request from a client and to be honest I am a bit stumped so could really do with some advice

I am finishing a build for a client and they have presented me with this huge sheet of 5mm acrylic. (2800x1200) that has to be stuck to the wall behind the shower tray.

The wall has already been painted in bathroom paint. We tried sticking it with Sticks Like Sh*t, it grabbed ok but when it started to dry the whole lot delaminated from the wall.

The problem with using other grab adhesives is that on such a big panel it would have gone off before we get it on the wall. The other problem is that the panel is quite a light colour so we can't use glue that is dark in colour or it will show through.

Any ideas, greatly appreciated

If it came off the wall it might just be too Smooth, you could try roughening it up to remove the paint.
However given the size of the sheet, I'd worry about the rate of relative expansion of the plastic relative to the wall, it could be you need a very thick layer of something flexible to stop it putting too much strain on.

There is a mirror adhesive
Also, people who sell Perspex splachbacks probably also stock suitable stuff
