Sticking holes on roofs!

I have asked the plumbers now I will ask the roofers!
I want stick some solar panels on my roof and would need to penetrate the tiling to carry water to add to heating system. What type of method would I use to maintain water tightness around 15-22mm pipes going through??

we i havent got a clue

but my guess would be a metal type plate as in the same as when you put a large vent through the tile you replace the relivent tiles with the plate then replace the tiles

i dont know just having a guess

...get an old school plumber to leadburn some mini-slates for you. good luck finding one ( other than me)
