Sticking Ikea mirror to wall

I have a mirror from Ikea to stick to the wall. I already some special mirror adhesive...

The mirror has thin clear film on the back, should this be removed? It's extremely well stuck on but I could remove it if needed?

Thats a protective film, leave in place.
