I have a Hudson Reed Tec Concealed Shower Valve tap that's recently become very stiff to operate.
It's a single clockwise motion to turn on the water. Approx every half turn the valve is very stiff. After some force it frees up again, till another half turn, then frees up again, and so on untill it's fully turned (2.5 full turns).
Any ideas on how to rectify this?
Once it's been fully turned, it then operates fully off and fully back on fine. But 24 hours later when it's used again, the same problem occurs.
The 'innards' are behind tiles so access is not easy.
Could something possibly be 'poured down' the shower head pipe above the unit to descale/free up the valve?
