Hi,
I fitted a small mono basin mixer tap a few months ago.
It is now becoming increasingly stiffer to turn on and off (this is done by tilting the lever up and down). It is much the same whether in the hot, cold or in between position. It is not so stiff when rotating the lever for the temperature.
The top lever section sits on a square white nylon shaft. The base of the white nylon part is surrounded by a round green plastic piece with serrated edges. This all sits within the brass body.
I'm guessing the green part might be a retaining nut but I didn't want to set about it with pliers and cause some damage.
I've tried squirting some WD40 down around the square shaft but this made no difference.
Would greatly appreciate any advice. Many thanks.
