still going well up till this week Advise please

Halstead Buckingham 111 CF80 cat I
Over five years old still going well up till this week.

The ignition clicks on but will knot fire up straight away there
Is a few seconds time laps consequently when it dose fire up
Makes a ( etc: bang whoosh explosion ) this happens on every start up now
would you say a new thermocoupler plus a service would sort it out.
Any thoughts on this

PS: the bang is not a huge bang, but would be enough for someone to
ask what the noise was

It's called "explosive ignition", and as you guessed, it needs a service. Bet it hasn't had one in the 5 years?
