I have just had a contemporary style front door fitted with side panels and long glass panel in the centre . The triple glazed units are constructed with clear , clear , stippled (inside). The stippled side has been fitted to the inside of the door so when viewed from outside it seems set quite deep . Is this the wrong way round ? Is it personal taste ? Thanks for any advice as i have a bunch of things to rectify .

I honestly do not know, but ultimately, I guess you spend more time inside your home than you do outdoors. Which is more pleasing to you per hour?

Will stippled glass get dirtier on the outside compared to the inside?

No sorry I thought I was explaining it as well as I could .the stipple effect is on the inside of the glazed unit so it’s still smooth outside if it .it’s just the orientation of the panel so that the stipple is the furthest in the building . I’ve been roaming the streets like some deranged door stalker taking the Airedale for a walk and it appears that everyone I could see from a distance seemed to have the stippled /satin/co toured side to the front of the door . I do appreciate everyone’s time for there answers here .I think I’m decent enough at diy but fitting double glazing is a bit too extreme for my tool bag

Its usually the outer pane on double or triple glazing due to the use of Low e glass on the internal pane of the house. The low e pane is designed to reflect the heat back into the house

I have just checked my windows and the effect is on the inside of the outer pane of glass in every case - three of them. The only exceptions, are two overlooked side windows, where I added a patterned film to the inside, to avoid the need to draw and use curtains. These two small side windows, are the only ones where we are over-looked/ have a need to draw curtains.
