Using a stop end outlet like this:

on a 1970s bungalow.
The standard advice is to extend the guttering a couple of inches past the end of the tiles, to catch rainwater blown by the wind.
Such a stop end outlet isn't long enough for this. Installing directly over the downpipe means the guttering stops a couple of inches before the end of the fascia boards.
I find I have to use a running outlet + 5 inches of gutter + external stop end piece.
Anyone else found this problem?
