One of our stop taps is embedded in the wall and is difficult to access. It is dripping an needs replacing. It is connected to Lead pipes. Is it a task I should take on myself or is this something I should leave to a plumber?
I am a bit concerned because a lot of plaster will need to be take down to allow some room for movement around the tap. So as an alternative I was thinking os "sealing in the tap" and maybe putting another one higher up the water pipe. I assume it is possible to weld? in the tap and seal all of the gaps?
