Hi everyone

A bit of advice if possible please?

Taken off an old (1930's!) cupboard door which is +/- 2000mm x 800mm that was originally built either side of the fireplace recess.

I would like to replace this with a new basic plain on-ubtrusive one, and I would like to know if a product exists for this size so that I can make this a push to open (i.e. no handles etc) and what hinges/acessories are needed?

The existing 'frame' is made from timber and is 200mm wide (quite a bit of wood!) Instead of ripping out I would like to plasterboard over this (can this be done?) get it plastered and install a new frame onto this to hang new door, so any advice on best way or any tips would be very much appreciated :)

Yes you can boards over. Mdf is suitable for doors with 'touch latch' to avoid need for handles.Piano hinges are ok as they spread the weight evenly with large doors.
