Storage heater TCO

Out of two flats I 'care for' (separate buildings), several storage radiators occasionally go off, and have to have the thermal cut-outs reset. It happens to certain ones, and not others. Heaters affected are both Unidare & Creda.

What's likely to be the cause? They're all kept clean, free from fluff and not covered with anything.

They're not covered with anything when you go there.

But I'd bet the tenants are airing clothes on them when you're not there.

Or the charging thermostat is faulty.

Drying towels / clothes is the favorite cause.

A couple of them have tripped yet again.

I've spoken to them about drying etc, and I really don't think they're covering them with clothes.

I'm probably best get replacement thermostats and see if that sorts it.

Doesn't make for good tenant / landlord / maintenance relations!
