can I use a 45 amp cooker switch to replace a storage water heater switch - also if the switch has no markings for Load & supply , how to determine which is which ,please help!
Possibly. If the water heater is connected with high temperature flex then you'll need a flex grip on the load side, which a cooker switch might not have.
Unless you have a neon on the switch it doesn't matter which is load and which is supply.
