Storing untreated timber

Now that our large log cabin is 99% complete, we are left with quite a large amount of timber. Some of it is treated external 6x2 and so on that I can easily store but a lot of it is in the form of untreated white spruce. Offcuts are going in the fire-wood store but we have loads of stuff from 6x1 up to 6x6 in lengths up to 5m. It must be a lot of value to buy new and I'd like to store it... but how?

I have a large single garage but this is beyond its capacity unless I clad a wall with it(!), and anyway it's damp in there.

I wonder if there is a way to build a store outside, as long as it is kept ventilated - like build a simple roof and some rails so the wind can blow through. I have plenty of outdoor space, just not indoor.
Is it worth treating it all with preserver?

My garage is actually a Victorian coach-house with a nice pitched roof but it has a ceiling. The roof is rotting so at some point I want to convert it to an open roof or otherwise get all that space for storage but alas, not just yet.

You wont get better than a well ventilated garage to stroe it in which you already have?

I don't have room in the garage, it's all storage for other stuff, and my workshop.

That's a good question. I don't have specific plans for it so let's say months

what length is the garage inside at roof level
and would cutting the assume 5.1m to say random length around perhaps 2.8 and 2.3 if many variable uses are to be found or more equal iff all used in a single project
in other words work out a use then cut to what fits in the space and store at roof heigh
if not something like battons on the ground every 500-700mm stack the timber with spacers iff wet or in a stack with spacers every second or third plank then cover with tarpaulen overlapping 300-400mm each end but open this can be a flap at perhaps 45 degree angle toward ground but many mm up[perhaps 100mm /1/3 up]to allow airflow
