I'm in Fife, east Scotland a bit north of Edinburgh. We've got heavy-ish rain and wind coming and going but nothing too major so far. Mind you I'm in a bungalow and the cul-de-sac is surrounded by trees so sheltered to an extent.

Bit damp, grey and blustery in Brizzle - heavy rain on way. Bit milder though.

Friend is getting ready for the off in December. He's retired and rents an apartment in Tenereife beginning Dec to end of March every year. Flying south seems a very good idea, and I'm more than a little envious.

Yeah I never used to think that way, however as I get older the thought of having a bolthole in sunnier climes does appeal. I'll need to await the big Lotto win to enact however :(

we have had a few things blown around the garden, i put most away, but missed some things - like pots on a wall, and table and also an umbrella that was resting in the corner
all blown over and broken around the garden now

a lot of rain and continuing wind

i have a cheap weather station and gusts are around 35mph at the moment and averaging around 15mph, but looking at the graph since midnight the winds are steadily increasing - so expecting worse as it moves across over the next 24hrs or so

When I was younger I never felt the cold. Even in winter I was turning off radiators and opening windows, feeling that many places were over heated. At 58 I really feel the cold now and the thought of sitting around in the sun sipping San Mig seems attractive. The British winters are definitely getting more difficult. My cousin in South Africa keeps trying to convince me to go there, saying my money will go a long way. Looking at the house prices and Rand rate she's right. Fantastic climate. Poss getting a bit too dodgy out there though.

Heard on the news a chap in your neck o' the woods was crushed by a tree, so keep yer head down, eh.
Snake Pass is blocked, as per...and i've spent the last couple o' days trying to stay on my feets across the fields. Sheep huddled in the lee of a wall looked like a big snow drift til one of 'em coughed! Rather them than me.
Turn up the heating, turn on the telly, and find a film to pass the time. (y)

Yeah I'm staying put until tomorrow, although it appears as though it's pretty much passed certainly in my area.

There's been a bit of snow in Edinburgh South. It's not the end of the world, but for some reason, the buses aren't running.

Not much here in west London.
why is it coming in bolt???

Well, (sorted) a bit of wind and a gloomy day.
Nothing extraordinary.
What's extraordinary is that they've totally blocked the traffic everywhere around here, all unfinished roadworks and temporary traffic lights.
A war against motorists.

Ealing- west London. It is raining. Eff all wind wise. Will try to stay in the pub for a bit longer... just in case... hic

The weather map is one of the craziest I have ever seen. Brum = just wet for a bit.

Terrible here. Leaves have blown into our porch. Nightmare.

Spent the AM in Lancashire.

Very windy and rainy but in Warrington much less so.
