I have a 2m long wall in the bathroom, ive took an airing cupboard out and where the stud work was, along the wall there is a difference of about 10mm run out in the wall (the last 1/4 of the wall). currently it is plastered with a slight stippling. I thought of screwing some 9.5mm board to the deepest parts of the wall, but what should i use in between the overboard and the wall, a gap of 300mm (hardwall, bonding or one coat plaster.)
obviously i would like to tile onto what ever i use to take the discrepancy out.
also do i have to take any of the finishing plaster off to get a bonding onto the wall.

the wall is currently hardwall (i think) onto breeze block, then skimmed and painted.

Hope that makes some sense, if you need a picture i might be able to do you one. Thanks

I would probably get a bag of OPF (one part flexible) tile adhesive and fili the difference out with it, then when it goes off (at least 24 hours) tile over the lot....
