I generally work new builds but have done a bit of stuff in older buildings. Had to cut out some openings a bit to install new door linings and remove old ones for proper sized doors.
Basically I came across plasterboard, paper front back, plaster core, but it had a strange thin white layer on the back behind rear paper, like half a mm thick at most with storage droops on all the way down it, all the board had it that I cut out so must be manufactured like that. Looked like thick dried PVA on the back. Anyone seen that before?
Wondering whether it could be an ACM in that backing paste at all tho I've always gone off plasterboard in UK doesn't contain any.
