Hi all, I have a concrete ex-council house and in the bathroom behind the door there is a large boxed in area from floor to ceiling. I know that there was some sort of opening into it from the hallway at some point - ours is covered over with plasterboard, my neighbours use theirs as an airing cupboard but none of us knows what it is really, and what is required in getting rid of it!! My very elderly neighbour believes you used to burn things in it, and indeed there does seem to be a little metal chimney bit on the roof?? Everyone I mention it to has no idea and of course the council is no help!! The house was built in the 1960s. Getting rid of this would give us a lit more floor space which we really need. I have added a photo of it - any ideas gratefully recieved!!
