Strange noise from cylinder when the hot water schedule ends and boiler stops

Hi Everyone,

I have noticed that anytime our hot water schedule stops we get this horrible noise from the cylinder/pipework. It vibrates so badly, not sure what could be causing it. However it started since I got our gas engineer to service the cylinder earlier this year. It took us some time to work out where the noise was coming from and now we have isolated it to when the hot water cylinder schedule stops.

Our setup is as follows.

S plan system on a system boiler, the system consists of underfloor heating, radiator and an unvented cylinder system.

I have highlighted the section that vibrated and the noise, please listen to the audio.

You've highlighted the filling loop - it should be disconnected when not used . Try that first

Thanks, I noticed that also but decided to take the picture as I had it setup, rather then turn it off and then take the picture. I turned it off yesterday and it still happened this morning.

Filling loop is important, disconnecting it would result in low pressure.

How?

All the mains pressure will leak. Have a search on google about pressurized systems.

Will do. Meanwhile, you have a search on Google about stop valves either end of a flexi connector.
