I've got a single electric oven that we've had for about a year now. It's a cheap Culina one but we have to buy cheap as the depth of our space is 530mm and you can't get *good* brands at that depth.
Anyway something strange is happening recently. My wife mentioned the oven wouldn't work the other day so after fiddling for a while I pressed the manual mode button and it spring to life. I thought nothing more to it until today.
I can't get manual mode to fire up the oven - if I out it in auto or duration mode and wait for the alarm and THEN hit the manual mode the oven fire up at the temperature I've set. If I turn the controller knob off (not the temp knob) and then try to immediately turn it back on it doesn't turn on. I've tried turning the entire unit off for 30 mins, and different combinations but it seems just the manual mode (which we use) doesn't work.
Any ideas on this as I can't understand why this might be an electrical fault of it does work a bs heat up but only from auto mode...I'm stumped!
