Hi Bob, my name is Armando, I have a 1989 Dodge Shadow, and I have changed my Radiator 7 times, 5 from Napa Auto Part and 2 from the dealer, why is my car just busting any radiator that I put in there within 2 or 3 weeks of regular use.

Before I had the radiator problem, one day the Fan stopped spinning automatically like it should, because I was trying to fix the Air conditioning on the car and a wire touched a metal of the car and smoke came out the wire, something got burned, don’t know what else but the Radiator wiring, so I did a customized switch connected to the battery and the fan, I started turning the Fan on When the temperature needle pass the second line out of 10 lines. 2 weeks later my Radiator started leaking. I notices it was because the fan was spinning backwards, so I switch the cables and installed my first radiator from NAPA ($120) with new pressure cap. After a month my new radiator leaking again badly, and so on till I got to my 7 Radiator, Now is to MUCH!!!

My first theory is that is the FAN! I might be turning it on to early or too late, it’s really wired. So what im going to do, is go with an electrician and fix my FAN to turn on like it use to automatically. After that I bet anyone that the next radiator is not going to escape. My Dodge Shadow is A FAN TERMINATOR!! Give it your Best FAN and IT WILL GET TERMINATED!! And NOW IM GETTING **** OFF.

My second theory is that something else got burned that I didn’t know about, I don’t think is the pressure because I put knew caps in there. I think my Motor is heating up the water to much and when it reaches the radiator is so hot it burns the metal and starts leaking, But how can it do this if on the temperature GAUGE it never goes over the Second Line. IT’S THE STRANGES PROBLEM EVER!! I NEED SOME

I just talked to THE DEALER AND THEY WONT GIVE ME MY ****ING MONEY BACK!!! I GOT JIPPED OFF!!

I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

If it get's that hot it must be super heated steam, and the pressure's pretty high too. I wouldnt like to be in your wagon, EVER! If you have a problem you could have a steam explosion, and total destruction. Have fun.

Lol, try a new radiator cap - that should always release pressure before the rad pops.
