Strange smell in kitchen coming from the gas hob

I have a strange smell in the kitchen, which is always there, and is not associated with any particular activity. It seems to be coming from the underside of the NEFF gas hob. It is sort of a musty/chemically smell, NOT the smell of gas. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Might be a dead mouse ! foun em in ovens a few times.....not in the oven cavity but behind panels.

Phone transco and get them out to make sure its not gas ,

Could be a family of mice - they make a Nesty Neff
