Having a devil of a game getting many years of old paint off our good in all other respects metal up and over garage doors.
To make it more difficult they have horizontal ribs and narrow panels so there's lots of nice recesses for the paint to hide in.
I've tried some off the shelf tripper from the like of B&Q and Homebase - Nitromors etc but really all they seem to do is take off a light layer and it's like a Chinese torture getting each layer off and out of the recesses.
I didn't want to use a sander for fear of marking or going through the metal plus of course it wouldn't get the paint out of the lines.
Can anyone recommend a different method or best of all a really effective paint stripper ?
Many thanks.
