Stripping stairwell ceiling

Hi there,

I am planning to strip and prepare for painting a very high ceiling above our wooden staircase, this weekend. Obviously a standard ladder isn't going to be of any help. Aside from hiring a 3-way combination ladder, does anybody have any other suggestions for reaching that high? Thanks

Can it really be THAT high? Ive not come across a ceiling yet that couldnt be accessed by extending steps or a single ladder section
