Hi,
I have a Stuart Turner Monsoon water pump I believe it’s a ‘twin’ model and I have water tank in loft so I assume its gravity one.
The problem I’m having is that the pump keeps running when I turn the hot water off, for example had a shower this morning but when I finished and turned the water off the pump ran on. It’s happened before last few weeks but then I could solve it by just turning on a hot tap and letting it run then turn it off and it sorted it, this time it wouldn’t switch off and I had to switch it off on the fuse box as was late for work.
I’ve got a Stuart Turner engineer lined up to come and have a look but I wondered if there is anything I could check myself or is this a common fault ? I’m in a heavy lime scale area and I don’t have a softener so wouldn’t be surprised if its related to that ? I’ve read about the flow switch being jammed how easy is that for me to check / cheap repair ?
Finally if I need a new pump, should I expect a large labour bill, the current unit is easily accessed so I assume its just a straight swap and not to heavy labour wise ?
thanks
