Stub stack height

hi

Can anyone tell me if there are any rules regarding the height of a stub stack with an AAV fitted. My current one is about 800m high but I would like to reduce it down to the minimum. It currently connects to a toilet and a hand basin and is on the ground floor.

Thanks in advance

The top of the stack should be above the spillover level of the highest appliance, IE your basin, so it's probably already as low as it can go

By definition does a stub stack ever have an AAV fitted? Para 1.30 of Part H suggests not and if doesn't comply then it's not a stub stack. You still need to keep the level higher than the max basin level, but a cap is less bulky than an AAV.

I've now removed the boxing and as you suggest it's only a cap - couldn't see too well until boxing was removed. It's a pain about the height though.
