Sub base Concrete floor

Good Afternoon,

I currently in the progress and see build and I’m seeing lots of different ways of sub base/concrete floor etc could someone confirm if the below way is ok:

150mm Hardcore(Type 1)
20mm Blinding
DPM layer
100mm Celotex Insultaion
25mm PIR around the edges
100mm concrete

I wouldn’t say that is the most common order for a floor slab.

Usually concrete goes straight on the DPM, then PIR insulation, then screed.

You can put the insulation below the concrete but then you have around 170mm of thermal mass on the warm side, ie 100mm concrete + 70mm of screed.

I expect you are having underfloor heating in which case have a think how much thermal mass you want…..you may well get differing opinions on how much thermal mass is best on the inside
