sub base

hi all, ive just ordered a ton of crusher as a sub base for my garden patio will it hurt if i mix a few bags of building sand in with it left over from a previous job?

I assume you are going wacker the base down, if so there is nothing wrong in adding some fines as in fillers to lumped aggregate but don't over do it.
