Suction hose for Karcher

I am considering using a water butt to supply my Karcher K3 pressure washer. This is with a view to using some of the copious amounts of water we get from the sky in Cumbria rather than from the tap. I always find that rain water cleans the car better as well. Apparently the K3 supports drawing water from a bucket/water butt/pond etc, you just need a suction hose with a filter. I want to make up my own suction hose so can anyone recommend a suitable filter for a standard hose.

It suits two hose diameters.

Thanks. I had seen this one among all the others available. It looks sturdy being brass. I'll give one a go.
