Hi, suction has been fine for a year or more on Goblin upright vacuum cleaner. However, now suction fine without the dust collection cylinder attached but too strong (almost impossible to push) when attached!
Any ideas anyone?

havent got a clue really
but iff the brush is set low for a smooth floor it can dig into carpet ??

Hi, there is no adjustmnent to the height on the model. Basically it works fine on carpet without the dust collector cylinder but the suction increase massively when the cylinder is attached. All troubleshooting I can find on the internet relates to lack of suction but I have too much!!

Assuming its a long flat brush have a look and see iff any felt 'plastic or other pads that may space it off the floor may be missing causing more friction??
