I need to replace 'parts' of my heating system. Move rads around etc.

So anyone used this type of tool ?

I guess most of you REAL plumbers use solder, but its always made me shy[/img]

Yes, that will undoubtedly make you a plumber but why on earth would you want to be one?[/b]

Just because I've never liked playing with fire. And would like to do the install myself

Any other options

Have a look at the "unipipe" as sold by Plumbcenter etc.

You will also need to be able to suck lots of air through your teeth and say who fitted this plus be about 5 stone overweight with your fat hanging over your belt with at least 3" of hairy bum crack, of course the old school will also insist that you smell of putty and bosswhite, maybe you can call yourself a plumber then.

So why are there plumber's shortage ?

I think we are the fattest nation of the world aren't we ?

There isn't a shortage of plumbers. There IS a shortage of people prepared to sit waiting for the phone to ring and then go fix a problem for £30 ;)
