Hi All

I've just lashed out the best part of £15K for a new van and I want it sign written. My trading name is a name of convenience and to be honest is crap. I'm a corgi and specialise in heating problems and gas safety stuff and work predominatley for letting agents.

Any advertising gurus (or anyone else) who can think of a catchy name, byeline, colours etc.

TIA :) :)

Call your self your own name eg. Mick Smith Plumbing & Heating Engineer

I call myself my own name and this brings out a feel of trust as you are not afraid to put your name to your work it worked for me

yrerrrr sure

My Acountant also said to me never use Abbreviations its looks crap and nowone will never remember you,

I'd love to help, but could you supply more details? eg. Your name/nick name and the area you cover?

If you have a very easy to remember business name this will allow people to look your number up via yellow pages the web etc.

'Mr Gas' came straight to mind, but there are a few mentions on the web already. I take it you are a sole trader?

Might not be the sort of image you are after though... :D

'Boilertec', 'All Gas' 'Gas Engineering Specialists'

Shall I continue...

Just got back from hols. and wondered if you've decided?

What about "Esbend N. More" ?

You really must avoid things like "bender" though you would probably get lots of calls.

It's endless really so I am sure you have had loads of ideas.

Pick an area? Pimlico Plumbers do OK. Speaking of whom, their vans all have appropriate number plates which are quite fun
801LER
b1DET
1BOG
BAS1N
LOO2P
AWC2P
P1PES
sort of thing

Save money ... Just do not bother to disguise the Securicor van !! ;)
