For a new gravel footpath with regular use.
To be layed on a firm 3" sub-base.
What is most suitable gravel for a top dressing.
For comfort of walking on, firmness underfoot & not sinking in.

Considering water smoothed gravel such as pea gravel but would it be stable or move around when walked on. Or angular from quarry crushed stone as inter-locks and less shifting. Only considering lower cost gravels. Which size best - 6mm or 10mm. Gravel layer thickness to be double stone size.
