Hi
I am getting a carpenter to build me a summer house, dimensions will be approx 14 x 8. He is proposing an elevated base on treated posts secured with postcrete and a plywood floor, insulated with reticel and a moisture proof membrane. As we live in a new build property, I am looking for a contemporary finish and quite like the look of pvc cladding boards. I have done a fair bit of googling and there's a fair few companies offering said cladding but wanted to ask if anyone has and experience of using pvc cladding for the exterior and if they could advise me of any downsides or lessons learnt from previous projects. The plan is to build a timber frame and include a uPVC window and french/sliding doors. I am also looking to put a very small wood burner inside which will have its flu going straight up through the roof. My chippy is very good and has build bespoke sheds and summer houses made of wood so assume he has everything covered but would appreciate comments and advice from the group
Many thanks
