So I'm starting the job of insulating the inside of our conservatory ceiling next week.
Battening, insulating, battening, then cladding with hollow soffit. The usual method you see online.
Got all materials ordered from my local builders merchants except for the insulation.
I'm either going with Superquilt or Ecoquilt
Superquilt has 19 layers, has an R rating of 2.50 and is 40mm thick, whereas Ecoquilt, has 6 layers, an R rating of 2.27 and is 15mm tick
Ecoquilt is a bit cheaper, and probably easier to install because I've read that Superquilt can wrap around screws when battening over. But is there going to be a considerable difference in performance between them both?
Thanks all.
