We've had our Suprima HE boiler for just over a year and the last 2/3 weeks we've had a problem with it locking out. There seems to be an air lock in the system causing the boiler to lock out. It doesn't matter whether it set for just water or heating and it's a right game to try and keep resetting the system.
Sometimes switching the power to the boiler off will reset set it it works othertimes it's messing with the tri-valve to get water flowing. One morning when starting up the expansion tank sounded as it was emptying itself which made the pipes bang with the rush of water into the boiler.
It's very hit and miss and our plumber has been and checked the expansion tank is filling ok and has bled the system but a week later it locked out again. Water is not always reaching the boiler for some reason. Any ideas anyone??
