surface cracks on ceramic sink

I've had a look through the posts on how to fix marks on the surface of a ceramic wash hand basin and there is a mention of using an enamel / bath rubber. Do you think my scratches / marks (photo attached) are too bad to use this method? What about using t-cut or brasso?

Looks like they are hairline cracks(n) possibly stress in the basin when it was fired. It'll have to be a new one. If you get a plumber in make sure he ain't Josey Wales:whistle:

probably 20 years plus. You're might be saying that it has gone past its normal working life & you'd be correct. replacement of the basin is not a big issue just potential retiling and then it makes the rest of the bathroom shabby.
 
Don't know if it's an Ideal Standard basin but if it is it has a lifetime guarantee.
