This is pretty shocking. All those deaths just so I can use my car & not have to worry about oil shortages.

Gord, if the reports indication that Bush was planning this BEFORE 9/11, then I say hang the bugger.

However, is it really that surprising that huge ultinationals with vested interests in the Oil industry are lobbying the Iraqi Authorities to "help" them realise their worth? The Compnaies operate like a Old Boys Network, and they need little encouragement from Governments to plunder and exploit.

At this time I will reserve judgment on this particular aspect of this conflict, although i do think that Oil did play a significant role in the road to war.
