Hi guys
Downstairs suspended floor, 2x9 joists, 400mm centres with span of approx 4.8m with chipboard on top.
Currently it wobbles around when walked on.
1. I've lifted a board and joists look sound but 2x9's in size seem under spec'd to me?
2. There are no noggins so my plan is to put 3 or 4 rows in. Does that sound ok?
3. In the crawl space underneath there is a level concrete base maybe 4 ft down. Is there any reason why i cant add some vertical supports standing on this to the under side of the joists?
