Im looking to buy a ground floor maisonette or a detached victorian cottage.
As well as damp the surveyor picked up on the once original suspended floor is now concrete.
This leaves all exisiting cables and ch pipework buried.
The surveyor didn't really seem to bothered about this and has just recommended that I get quotes for the damp but other than that is reasonably happy with the property.
What im interested in is how common is this to fill in a suspended floor? Is there any way of knowing its been done properly and would it pose a problem if I wanted to dig it up in future to run new pipes and cables in it.
cheers
