Hello,

Hello,

Do I still need to raise my timbers off the floor if I am building a suspended floor on an existing concrete and screeded floor. There is a layer of Damp course under the concrete. I am confused as to why you would need to if it was carpeted before…

Only need to go up 100mm to get level with hallway.

Thanks

Just need suitable underlay. But note that it is just a wooden floor now not suspended.

Blup

You'd be better with a screed, or if it's not insulated under the slab a layer of PIR and floating chipboard on top.
