Hello guys,
I am new here.
So we tried to insulate our suspended timber floor and turned out that the internal walls are sitting on the floorboards instead of the joints (between 2 joints)… i know we should do noggin between the joints but, there is limited place underneath. Knee height roughly. Is there any way to add extra support for the wall/joints to insulate the floor?
Thanks

Could you send a picture?

The walls will not be sitting on the floorboards. Do you mean joists?

No, i mean floorboards. There is no joist below the wall. The wall is parallel with the joists and basically located between 2 joints

ive got a couple of small walls in the upstairs of my house that are sitting in floorboards without joists below

flipping builders obviously put in the floorboards before the bricklayer put in the block walls

in my case they are just on the edge of joists so not too bad

if you can get a noggin in place you should be able to screw through the joists either side of the wall
