I have laid a SWA cable from house to my shed, now in my junction box I have IP56 plastic cable glands. My question is how do I earth the armouring in my cable or is it possible just to leave it?

The cable armour is clamped in the gland and a Banjo ring should have been included with the gland. This is connected by earth wire to the earthing terminal in the enclosure.

No - the armour needs to be earthed, and those cable glands are not what you need. SWA needs to be properly terminated in a gland like this:

Remove locknut 3.
Strip cable outer sheath and pass shroud then outer nut 1 over cable.

Pass cable end through gland inner 2 and spread out armour wire over cone.

Screw outer nut 1 onto inner 2 and tighten.

Insert gland bush 4 into cable entry of apparatus and tighten locknut. Push shroud back over gland.
