Hi all, sorry if this has been explained before but I’m trying to replace some old light switches in my children’s bedrooms with plastic ones. The old ones were metal and the green/yellow wire was screwed into the plate but in the new ones, there’s nowhere to put it. I’ve googled and can see that it needs earthing somehow, but I’ve literally never done this before and thought it would be quite straightforward Do I need to buy something to do this?

Could someone please look at this photos and tell me in an Idiots Guide type of way, what I should do with this switch? Thank you in advance.

Remove the green and yellow wire making sure the bare copper wire remains securely connected to the terminal.

This bare wire should have a green and yellow sleeve but not the end of the world.
