Hi, I'm installing a shower in my basement that has an unlevel concrete floor.

How do I best do it, and how do manage this huge gap that will be there on the drain side left? Do I need to rip out all the LVP and then self-level low sections of the whole bathroom?

Also can I use plain garden soil to backfill this hole I've had to dig out for the shower drain?

Either self level the floor or build a plinth for the tray to sit on and level that.

LVP - Vinyl flooring?
