Hi,

We have a void behind our bed so I'm planning to put some swing arm lights there. Instead of the usual wall mounted style with a big bulky base unit to house the wiring connections, can you get totally flush/slimline ones that connect in to some sort of flush backbox, which would house the wiring connections instead? Ideally white/chrome mixture, and LED.

The would be installed on the (effectively) 'shelf' part of the the void, which would be flush with the headboard.

Thanks

I have ikea jansojo lights that I modified. They are no longer available
The ones I bought had a cast iron base that could be chucked, and the light modified to fit onto a metal bracket by two locating pins. Sometimes available on eBay but way more than the £12 that they were.
Switch in the lead, wall wart psu

However they do sell a much cheaper (and smaller) version that might help make something
You would need to construct a base with a switchable USB socket
The lights put a targeted spot of light out
It's well worth £2 to try one!

It depends on how much light you need
